Goal of Drawing
Drawing can help kids express, communicate and create order. Children generally lack the breadth of vocabulary necessary to articulate all of the complexity of their thoughts and emotions succinctly. Not having the words to express feelings can be frustrating for young children and art provides a useful outlet by which to express themselves. Children also seek order as a means to define their world and understand things in context. There is a methodical component to art that allows children to creatively explore new ideas and make sense of them through association.
Learning how to draw is one of the earliest activities that kids are generally given in an art class. Drawing is one of the basic forms of art as most works of art will either include the representation of an image on the paper or canvas, or will work from sketches of the artwork. Teaching children to draw, however, will provide chidren with a number of benefits which aren’t solely related to the world of art. When being encouraged to draw, children will learn firstly how to make choices. They will be presented with a landscape that will encourage them to view everything before them, weighing the positive and negative aspects of what they see, before they begin to draw.
Additionally, when they are encouraged to begin drawing what they see without ever taking their eyes off of the subject, they not only begin to learn hand-eye coordination, but to study their subjects carefully. These children will learn to begin how to make comparisons between different aspects like shapes, proportions, tones, textures, and sizes. This begins to shape their constructive view, allowing them to make assessments.
Finally, the children will learn that, as with anything in this life, drawing ability will improve with practice. If they keep a portfolio of their work, after a few months they will be able to look back and see how much their work has improved since the earlier attempts. This is a vital skill to instill in children, that with hard work, success will come. This is why, beginning at an early stage, encouraging children to explore their drawing ability can set them up for great success.
in addition by learning from computer children are able to broaden their knowledge of computer and computer improve their activity.
Art is usually about self-expression because the artist feels strongly enough about what they are doing to try and put it into a form that they, and others, can come to terms with. This product of their self-expression can help others because there will always be people who feel the same way but they cannot express it themselves. These people will identify with the artist and draw encouragement, purpose, and excitement about the thing expressed.
One of the functions of the artist is to make a statement of some kind. It may be a simple statement, the beauty of the landscape for example, but it is a statement. Somehow the artist is trying to communicate an idea, an emotion, or a purpose in their work.
I know there has been that idea around that new art can be created about old art. One would think that there’s enough subject material or ideas in this world to make a statement about, without the need to re-hash that which has already been communicated in other art pieces. I did a painting a couple of years ago that used a statue in a park as a subject. The soldier statue was the true work of art and I just brought it to everybody’s attention again by painting it. I guess in a way I was making a statement about an existing piece of art. Some painters will do paintings of historical buildings or other architecture pieces that stand out as unique and artistic in design. In this way I suppose the artist is making a statement about art itself.
